California intermodal trucker suing Hapag-Lloyd over detention fees

In an article written by John Gallagher from FreightWaves, he reports a local drayage company was forced to store empty refrigerated containers without getting paid.  With $258,000 in detention charges against Orange Avenue Express (OAE) and more accruing, OAE is suing Germany’s Hapag-Lloyd as the trucking company asserts these charges violate federal shipping regulations.
